tallyglass

For iPhone · Two modes, one app

Drink less, with a diary that keeps up with you.

Tallyglass is the drink diary for anyone cutting down, with a mode built from the ground up for people taking naltrexone or nalmefene. Logging takes a tap, your progress is always in view, and everything stays private on your phone.

Coming soon to the App Store 14 days free, then £4.99 a month or £29.99 a year. For adults, 18 and over.
Tracking mode: 3 days alcohol-free and a 3-day badge earned.
Medication mode: a dose logged, 4 hours 40 minutes of cover left, and two drinks covered.

Two modes

One app that shapes itself around how you're cutting down.

Tell Tallyglass once, when you set it up. It shows you exactly what you need and nothing you don't. You can switch at any time in Settings, and your log comes with you.

Medication mode

Built for the Sinclair Method and medication-assisted cutting down.

For people taking naltrexone or nalmefene. Log your dose and Tallyglass times the wait, shows you exactly when your cover ends, and marks every drink as covered or not, using the numbers from your own prescriber.

  • A live timer for the wait and the interval, on your Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island and on your Home Screen.
  • Covered or not, drink by drink, so you always know where you stand.
  • A compliance streak next to your alcohol-free streak. Dry days count towards both.
  • A one-page report for your prescriber: doses, drinks, compliance and your baseline, as a PDF.
  • Reminders that check in when the wait is over, and stay quiet overnight.

Tallyglass never tells you what to take or when. Your plan comes from your prescriber; Tallyglass shows it back to you.

Trends in medication mode: the alcohol-free and compliance streaks, and your week against your baseline.

Tracking mode

Everything you need to drink less. Nothing about medication.

For anyone who wants a clear, honest picture of their drinking and the motivation to change it. No doses, timers or medication words anywhere in the app.

  • Your week against where you started, in UK units, US standard drinks or grams.
  • Alcohol-free streaks with milestones at 3, 7, 14, 30, 60 and 90 days, and a proper moment when you hit one.
  • Trends over 12 weeks, six months or your whole history, with spikes that don't flatten the rest.
  • How you felt, one tap a day, next to what you drank.
  • Calories and drinks per drinking day, if you want the detail.

Started on medication later? Switch modes and your whole log comes with you.

Questions

What's the difference between the two modes?

Medication mode adds everything for people taking naltrexone or nalmefene: logging doses, a timer for the wait and the interval, covered and not-covered drinks, a compliance streak and a report for your prescriber. Tracking mode has none of that. It's a drink diary with units, streaks, trends and how you felt. Both keep your log on your phone.

Can I switch modes later?

Yes, any time in Settings. Your log stays exactly as it is.

How much does it cost?

Tallyglass is free for 14 days, then £4.99 a month or £29.99 a year (or the same in your currency). Both give you everything. Subscriptions are handled by Apple, renew automatically, and can be cancelled any time in your iPhone's Settings. Cancel during the trial and you won't be charged. If your trial or subscription ends, your log stays on your phone and you can still export it.

Do I need an account?

No. Open the app and start logging. There's nothing to sign up for.

How do I move my log to a new phone?

Turn on iCloud sync in Settings › Data & privacy before you switch. Install Tallyglass on the new phone, turn sync on there too, and your log comes back.

Can I bring the log I kept before?

Yes. Import an Excel or CSV file in Settings › Data & privacy › Import, including week-by-day logs like the Options Saves Lives drink log. Starting from paper? There's a template. How to import.

How do I delete everything?

Settings › Data & privacy › Delete all data. It removes your log from your phone, the copy in iCloud if sync is on, and the drinks Tallyglass wrote to Apple Health. There's no undo.

Does Tallyglass tell me when to take my medication?

No. You set the wait and the interval from your own plan, and Tallyglass shows them back to you. It tells you when cover ends and which drinks weren't covered, and leaves the decisions to you.

Is Tallyglass a medical device?

No. It's a diary. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything, and it doesn't give medical advice.
